WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

How do I get started?

We begin with a discovery call. From here, if it feels like I am the right practitioner for you, I will send you an intake form. Once that is filled out and returned to me we can schedule our first appointment.

What does a typical first session look like?

We will go over your intake form and I can ask more questions about what it's like to be you. There may be an embodiment practice or a guided meditation, so it's important to dress comfortably. Every person is different, and every session is different. Sessions are 75 minutes long, but please set aside two hours for your first one just in case.

How often do people come?

That depends on you. Many people start off weekly or twice a month. Most people purchase a five-session package and complete it within a couple of months. This gives us a tangible timeframe to work on specific areas of focus. Together we will discover what is right for you.

Do you use touch?

When it is appropriate, I teach people about sex and intimacy and bodies; I can do this with words, pictures, and puppets. I am also a trained somatic sexological bodyworker. Touch is not always appropriate for every person.  Your nervous system, interest, and history of trauma will determine what is right for you. I use a model of enthusiastic consent, which means your body decides what is appropriate. I provide helpful embodiment practices to assist you in noticing what's happening in your system. In other words, you don't have to already know what you need; I will help you.

Do I have to do anything I don’t want to do?

Not when it comes to touch, not ever.

The work I offer is subtle and varied. It can be very uncomfortable to challenge your existing belief patterns. This is the only place we may want to push through. If we are working with understanding our body and senses, it is never useful to force ourselves into something that doesn't feel right. Our goal is always to understand your OWN body's wisdom and to honor it with enthusiastic consent.

Together we’ll discover the pace that works best for you to learn and explore while giving you plenty of opportunities to integrate your learning.

What these sessions are NOT.

This work never includes sex or sexual interactions between client and practitioner.

I am not an erotic massage therapist or a sex worker.

Can I bring my partner to my sessions?

Yes. We will discuss this in advance so we are clear about the intentions of your couples session.

What does a couples session look like?

I enjoy working with couples of any gender combination or relationship structure to help them explore and create the skills they need to bring more enjoyment, ease, and pleasure to their relationship. Couples sessions usually focus on the sexual aspects of your relationship and your ability to access and communicate your desires. To be clear, this is not traditional couples therapy, but I am available to work together with you and your therapist.

What kinds of clients do you work with?

I work with people of all genders, sexual orientations, and relationship structures that are ready for a transformation.

My clients already have a foundation of health and are looking to refine their lives and embody more wholeness.

I believe that everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their body. I also believe that deep fulfillment only becomes possible when we feel at home in our skin. How we work with pleasure and sexual well-being translates to every part of your life.  I invite you to discover your fullest embodiment, potential, and freedom in your sexual expression.

I welcome you to my practice, with whatever identities you hold, especially the parts you're most unsure about.

Do you only work with sex and sexuality?

No. I also do sessions that work exclusively with energy that may or may not include touch. I have many tools in my kit that can support more fluidity in your body. Sometimes a sense of wholeness is only available when the physical body is 'well enough'. I work with meridian lines to create more harmony in body systems.

I specialize in working with pleasure and eros because it is so intricately woven into our experience of being a well human.

Our first relationship is with our own body; many might argue that it's our only relationship. We can explore this in any way that is right for you.

Some words about gender and anatomy.

The majority of my clientele identify as women or men, and I often use these terms in my language for simplicity. I want to acknowledge that there are people who prefer different terminology than those given at birth or even outside of this binary. The "Gender Bread Person" is a fantastic resource for learning more about this topic and other terminology. I also want to acknowledge that genitals do not equal gender, so I attempt to specify when I refer to both a particular gender with particular genitals (e.g., women with vulvas). My dedication is to be inclusive and inviting of all beings.

 What is your cancellation policy?

I have a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. Should you need to cancel your appointment, kindly give me 24 hours minimum notice via phone message or text message. If you cancel your session with less than 24 hours' notice, you are responsible for your session's cost.
